NEBOSH Health and Safety at Worksite
NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work is a globally recognized qualification which equips individuals to identify hazards at work and deal with them efficiently to ensure high level safety culture at workplace. This introductory qualification helps employee gain broad awareness of occupational safety and health issues and environmental topics. This course focuses on international Health & Safety standards which enables candidates to execute workplace health and safety responsibilities in any industry across the world. This qualification offers a thorough base for progression on to higher level NEBOSH qualifications including NEBOSH International General Certificate and National General Certificate.
The syllabus is divided into two units:
HSW 1: Workplace Safety Foundations
- The Foundations of Health & Safety
- The Responsibility for Health & Safety
- Health & Safety Risk Assessment and Control
- Hazards & Controls Associated with Work Equipment
- Transport Safety
- Hazards & Controls Associated with Working with Electricity
- Fire Safety
- Hazards & Controls Associated with Manual Handling and Repetitive Movement.
- Hazards & Controls Associated with Hazardous Substances
- Hazards & Controls Associated with Environment.
HSW 2: Workplace Risk Assessment
· Practical Assessment
· Successfully complete unaided a risk assessment at workplace with NEBOSH Risk Assessment Performa
Examination:
One-hour multiple choice examination (HSW 1) + Practical Assessment (HSW 2)
Certification:
On successful completion (60% for both the multiple choices paper (HSW 1) and the practical application unit), you will receive an NEBOSH HSW Certificate

NEBOSH delivers wide-ranging vocational qualifications dealing with health, safety and environmental practices and risk management at workplaces in both public and private sectors.
An ISO 9001:2008 registered organization, NEBOSH certificate courses offered by more than 450 training providers attract more than 35,000 candidates yearly. The exams are conducted in numerous test centers at over 90 countries across the world.
NEBOSH qualifications are recognized by reputed bodies such as the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
NEBOSH is the first health and safety awarding body to be accredited by the UK regulatory authorities such as The Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (OFQUAL)-previously QCA in England, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland.
